Reservations for our gay camping weekends are on a first come basis. Depending on the site we have, we might need to limit the number of reservations for a particular trip. In general, as long as the reservation list remains under 50 people we do not limit the number of reservations. Each campsite is unique and has a different level of people that it can comfortably accommodate.
The cost for camping is $8 per person per night. This is a camping and trash pick-up fee only and firewood is not included. You may cancel your reservation any time prior to 5:00 pm on the Thursday before a scheduled camping weekend. If you need to cancel, a reservation credit will be held on your account for a future camping trip. If you would rather have a refund, we charge a $2 fee for Ms. Tommie to deal with sending you your money back to you the same way or method we received it. For that reason we recommend that, you use PayPal. Refunds are fast and easy and free with PayPal.
Sometimes we have no choice but to cancel a scheduled camping trip because of previous storms or expected bad weather. While no one likes it when his or her weekend plans are canceled, it is better than being trapped in a river valley with no way out. In the event that a trip has to be canceled, we will send out a cancelation email to all members and post a notice on the Out Camping website. The final decision for a go or no go camping weekend is made before 12:00 PM on the Thursday prior to the scheduled camping weekend. It is very important that you check your email or the website before you start to pack your gear. Do not be the person who drives for three hours to find that the front gate is locked.
Soon after you arrival, you are expected to turn in your SIGNED Liability Release form that is included with your online payment receipt. This form should be given to a Out Camping staff member. If it is your first time camping with us and no one is around to greet you upon arrival, just park your car, and ask anyone you see about turning in your release form and where to setup. Any regular camper can help you find a good campsite to setup your tent.
